NETDA promotes green development with tree-planting volunteer activity
The Nantong Economic and Technological Development Area (NETDA) recently held a tree-planting volunteer event combined with an ecological restoration initiative for environmental damage compensation. The activity involved over 50 families with children, fostering ecological awareness and green development consensus through interactive educational methods.
Young volunteers, dressed in eco-friendly vests, became springtime fairies during the interactive game. They explored the park and completed tasks like identifying plants and animals, collecting eco-themed puzzle cards, and learning about waste classification and plant conservation through practice.
The following "replanting for ecological restoration" initiative, a novel approach to environmental damage compensation, saw representatives of enterprises donate trees to the area's ecological damage restoration demonstration base. Established in 2023, the base has completed multiple replanting projects, revitalizing the region's green spaces.
In recent years, NETDA has increased ecofriendly investments and advanced green urban infrastructure. The ranks of environmental volunteers — spanning children, families, and corporations — continue to grow, contributing to a greener Nantong.
