Jinan to advance construction of major projects in 2025

Print PrintJinan plans to advance the construction of major projects in 2025 to drive the city's high-quality development, according to the city's government work report released at the fourth session of the 18th Jinan Municipal People's Congress on Jan 13.
In 2024, the city made significant progress in project construction, the report says. Last year, it focused on advancing 2,000 major projects related to green, low-carbon, and high-quality development.
Projects such as the Lingong heavy machinery digital factory, Qinghe high-end chip substrate, and Guangri digital industrial park were completed and put into operation. Some promising projects saw agreements signed or were launched, including collaborations with Sugon, Hengrui Medicine, Zhixing Space, and Casco Signals.
Jinan also made great efforts in advancing industrial projects in 2024, accelerating the construction of major flagship projects like Aiko solar cells. Throughout the year, the city launched 1,075 industrial projects with a planned investment of 174.33 billion yuan ($23.78 billion).
In 2025, the city will focus on advancing key provincial and municipal projects and promoting the construction of 12 projects with investment exceeding 10 billion yuan each and 183 projects with investments over 1 billion yuan each. It will accelerate infrastructure improvements in areas such as urban transportation, water conservancy, and energy networks, and promote the construction of transportation hubs.
In addition, a range of public welfare projects will be emphasized in sectors including education, healthcare, elderly care, and housing.
