In celebration of Chinese–UN Chinese Day, Heze in East China's Shandong province, known as the "Peony Capital of China", extended a global invitation at an event in Los Angeles (LA) on March 29, presenting its unique peony culture through traditional Chinese art forms such as dough figurine making, calligraphy, and opera.

At the event, renowned painter Ding Zhongxiu created a stunning painting titled "Peony Capital of China", while artist Shi Zhenshan crafted beautiful peony dough figurines. Furthermore, the LA Youth Peking Opera Troupe also performed, displaying the charm of traditional Chinese art.

"I think Heze peonies are gorgeous," said the chairman of the America Trade Development Council, while also expressing his eagerness to visit.

The event not only highlighted Heze's cultural heritage but also marked an important step in promoting the city as a global hub for cultural exchange. The 2025 Heze Peony Festival will kick off in the city on April 8, inviting the world to experience the beauty and culture of this "Eastern Flower Capital".
