Researchers from the test center of CSSC Haizhuang Wind Power has started the test of its prototype in March. The tested platform enables full-power grid connection, temperature rise, and vibration testing of 18 megawatt wind turbine electromechanical drive systems, which fully meets the verification requirements for the adoption of large-scale, lightweight, and integrated offshore wind power technologies.
The core components of each wind turbine vary due to complex regional conditions, making every unit unique. Shandong Jinlei New Energy Heavy Industry has not only met these stringent requirements but also made its products lighter.

A 26MW offshore wind turbine, the largest in the world and independently developed by China Eastern Electric Group, was connected to the grid on Oct 29. At full capacity, each rotation of the turbine generates 62 kWh of clean electricity. With an average wind speed of 10 meters per second, a single turbine can produce 100 million kWh annually, which is enough to power 55,000 households.

The Guangli Port Area completed the operation permit for its general terminal on May 29, 2024, marking the official opening of a dedicated terminal for transporting large-scale wind power equipment.
Since its launch, the offshore wind power terminal has welcomed 1,850 vessels, handling a total cargo volume of approximately 245,000 metric tons.
