Qingdao ranks top destination for inbound tourism

For international visitors, a trip to Qingdao is not just a "tour of China" but an exciting "shopping spree in China".
This scene is a snapshot of Qingdao's improved inbound tourist structure and growth momentum. It reflects the modern transformation of culture, deep interactive experiences, and natural consumer behavior.
According to official data, from January to November this year, Qingdao's airport welcomed 567,100 inbound visitors, marking a 44.99 percent year-on-year increase, composed of countless such valuable moments.
Frequently featured on lists like the "Top 10 Popular Destinations for Inbound Tourism" and "Top 10 Domestic Cities Favored by Foreign Friends", Qingdao uses its status as China's first "SCO tourism and culture capital" to transform global "traffic" into development "increments". This transformation is refreshing Qingdao's image as an international coastal tourism and vacation destination, propelling it towards high-level openness.
To boost inbound tourism, Qingdao is improving its global air connectivity. As ofNovember, the airport has served 3.04 million international passengers, a 25.5 percent year-on-year increase, marking the first time in five years to exceed 3 million. It now operates routes to 26 international destinations, including Seoul, Singapore, Bangkok, and Dubai. New routes to Daegu, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City are also set to launch, with plans to expand services to Southeast Asia, Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries, and long-haul markets.
