Nanping Sci-tech Industrial Park is a national high-tech park established on March 6, 1999. Covering a total area of 8.16 square kilometers, the park now has 612 companies specializing in family appliance manufacturing, electronic information, office automation and printing materials, equipment manufacturing and bio-medicine.

Among the enterprises are six listed among Fortune Global 500; 16 are listed companies, including four listed in the domestic stock market, three listed on the New Third Board and one on the Hong Kong stock market; 119 are industrial enterprises above designated size; 39 are state high-tech enterprises, and eight are candidates for state high-tech enterprises.

In 2015, the total value of the industrial enterprises above designated size reached 95.72 billion yuan ($14.38 billion), a year-on-year increase of 4.68 percent. The added industrial value topped 24.11 billion yuan($3.61 billion), up 4.9 percent, and tax revenue in 2015 hit 11 bilion yuan($1.65 billion).
