Two unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) developed by Zhuhai Yunzhou Intelligence Technology Ltd were in the spotlight at the 4th China Science & Technology City International Hi-tech Expo, which opened in Mianyang of Sichuan Province on Sept 21. 

The Yunzhou combination truck-vessel amphibious patrol boat operates on both land and water surfaces such as inland rivers, lakes, and shallow seas. It can deploy, retrieve, and maneuver outdoors and can conduct departure and docking through exclusive-use base stations. Meanwhile, the Yunzhou M80 Oceanographic Survey USV has higher-level load and stealth capabilities, and outperforms other vehicles in hydrological, meteorological, and submarine geomorphology surveys in sensitive water areas.

Main software and hardware of the two USVs were developed and produced by Yunzhou-Tech, which has complete independent intellectual property rights in the automatic control, navigation, evadible, and communication systems as well as in support smart-remote control and three-display control base stations.   

USV has broad application prospects in water-quality mobile patrols, water pollution tracking, pollution emergency response, and water sampling and monitoring, according to Yunzhou-Tech.
