A charity and popular science-based earthquake museum will be constructed next year to allow free admission of students, residents, and visitors, Zhuhai Taide Enterprise Co Ltd has announced.

The hi-tech company has been engaged in the earthquake industry for two decades. With independent intellectual property rights covering digital earthquake monitoring, precursory observation, and strong-motion observation, its systems and products have been applied in many cities and provinces, and exported to Southeast Asia.

It has more than 70 categories of products with 17 patents and 11 software copyrights; including various kinds of seismic data acquisition loggers, subsurface broadband seismometers, ultra-broadband seismometers, earthquake field mobile observation equipment, broadband ocean-bottom seismometers, and earthquake deep-well comprehensive observation devices, according to a company executive.

He added that the company’s independently developed high-speed rail earthquake monitoring and early warning system has passed authoritative tests and been applied in test sections of the Datong-Xi’an and Western Hainan passenger high-speed rail lines. The system broke Japan’s monopoly in the field and has filled the gap in the domestic market.
