The Zhuhai Grand Theater apparently became the brightest star in the eyes of local residents and tourists during the first holiday of 2017. China’s first offshore opera house staged its initial show, the Russian State Symphony Orchestra, on Dec 31. With a magnificent twin scallops structure, the theater has already become a new landmark and a must tourist attraction.
In addition, the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra performing at the Zhuhai Huafa & CPAA Grand Theater, a year-end street concert at the Midtown Urban Complex opposite New Yuanming Palace across Jiuzhou Avenue, Folk Music Festival at Kimka Creative Valley, and Xiangzhou Rhythm street music show at Haibin Beach all added to the festive atmosphere.
Colorful well-planned activities were also important reasons for people to celebrate in Zhuhai. A rural cycling activity enabled participants to exercise and relax. Meanwhile, Ship Container Street at the Baisha River area near Holiday Inn Hotel in Jida, and Yoho Park east of the Gongbei Primary School were initiated to delight both visitors and residents.
Furthermore, Tangjia Old Town Embracing New Year Culture Week series activities promoted awesome traditional culture and folk customs.

Data showed that nine major tourist attractions under intensive monitoring registered nearly 260,000 visitors during the three-day holiday.
