Xiangzhou District, Zhuhai

Zhuhai Southern Software Park, New Economic Resources Development Harbor, and Kimka Creative Valley have just been designated National Technology Business Incubators, according to the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Science & Technology.

Zhuhai now has six national technology business incubators. Kimka Creative Valley became the first of its kind among four cultural and creative industry parks in the city.

The incubator provides small and medium-sized high-tech enterprises with comprehensive services such as office space and professional guidance. Of 129 shortlisted national technology business incubators announced by the Ministry of Science & Technology on Jan 4, 19 are from Guangdong Province and three are located in Zhuhai. Two are situated in the Zhuhai High-Tech Zone to foster sci-tech startups with much potential.

Years after the Zhuhai Hi-tech Start-up Service Center was approved as a national-level incubator for technology enterprises, Tsinghua Science Park (Zhuhai) and Zhuhai Kindly International Medical Industry Park also took the honor in 2015.

By the end of 2016, the city had 27 incubators covering 1.25 sq km and fostered over a thousand startups.
