A country music festival, temple fair, food and beer festivals, and other culture-featured events will take place in Doumen District during the May Day holiday.

With the holiday less than three weeks away, the Doumen District Tourism Bureau is already geared up for it. According to an official, the highlight will be the Doumen Music Festival at the Shili Lianjiang Agriculture Sightseeing & Experience Garden. Renowned bands will entertain with characterized music and idyllic scenery in the vicinity of paddy fields. Activities will also cover catering, game playing, a tent party, and shopping.

Moreover, towns in the jurisdiction of Doumen District will organize colorful activities such as temple fair on Doumen Old Street; and husbandry activities including fishing, casting fishing nets, and dragon boat racing at Nan’ao Village in Baijiao Town.

In the meantime, the Xiashan Hakka Culture Food Festival and games such as long-rope skipping, hopscotch, iron-hoop rolling, and clamping glass beads will be held at Xiashan Village.

Additionally, the Jing’an Town Business Fair, Graffiti Art Festival, Wangshan Culture Food Festival & Tsingtao Beer Festival, a farm village tour, and local cuisine offerings at Baiteng Lake area, and farming activities at Baijiao Town have also been slated.

The bureau reminds people to plan their holiday in advance to better enjoy the cultural recreational gala.
