The Zhuhai Vocational Training & Guidance Service Center located in Xiangzhou District opened its industrial robot training base on Aug 6. It was the venue for an on-the-job training course developed by Gree Electric Appliances.

Thirty Gree workers were selected to be the first to receive the precision coaching. They will be taught the various skills needed to carry out actual operations at the company.

The Vocational Training & Guidance Service Center was designated a national-level high-skill talent training base in 2017 by the Ministry of Human Resources & Social Security, the first designation of its kind in Zhuhai.

The center set up the industrial robot training base in collaboration with Zhuhai Gree Daikin Precision Mold. It has the ability to train 1,000 technicians, maintenance personnel, and programmers.

Zhuhai has arranged more than 20,000 sq m of training sites devoted to improving skills related to intelligent manufacturing, industrial automation, new energy and modern service. The sites are equipped with more than 2,300 sets of equipment costing 217 million yuan ($34 million), according to an official.
