Zhuhai's per capita disposable income rises 10.4% in H1

The per capita disposable income of Zhuhai residents reached 26,938 yuan ($3,914) in the first half of this year, a year-on-year increase of 10.4 percent (9 percent after deducting price factors), according to a statistical survey briefing on July 26.

The per capita disposable income of Zhuhai residents outstripped the provincial average by 6,616 yuan ($960) and the national average by 11,644 yuan ($1,690). The growth rate was also 1.8 percent points higher than the provincial average, and 1.6 percent points higher than the national average.

The per capita disposable income of Zhuhai urban residents grew by 10.2 percent (8.8 percent after deducting price factors), from the previous year to 28,324 yuan ($4,112) during the period, while that of rural residents rose 11.9 percent (10.5 percent after deducting price factors) to 15,025 yuan ($2,181), signifying that the urban-rural income gap is closing.
