The 2016 Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Elite Trophy Zhuhai will commence selling advance admission tickets on July 28 with a lower-price package, according to the organizing committee.

Promising to serve locals and improve the personal viewing experience, the WTA Elite Trophy this year will offer ticket prices with the most market competitiveness and highest cost performance to encourage those from the Pearl River Delta to watch top-level competitions and experience the charm of tennis on site.

Top-seed tennis pro Steffie Graf is this year's global image ambassador.

A grandstand A-ticket costs 160 yuan ($24) and a B-ticket is priced at 80 yuan ($12) during the group game stage. The lowest price for a package ticket for the semifinals and finals is 580 yuan ($87). For the whole course, a grandstand package A-ticket is offered at 1,400 yuan ($209) and a B-ticket goes for 720 yuan ($118).

Those who bought tickets for the competition last year are eligible for a discount of 40 percent upon showing the stub, cell-phone number or name with membership. Some admission buyers can enjoy a discount of 15 percent during the advance sale period.

The highest level tennis tournament in South China, the WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai will take place at Zhuhai Hengqin International Tennis Center from Nov 1 to 6, with total prizes of $2.21 million. The WTA has customized the top-level tournament for Zhuhai since last year and has committed to the venue for five consecutive years.

The champion will earn 700 scores in the world rankings. The tennis players with the highest WTA grades from top 9 to 19 in the year are required to participate, guaranteeing the excellence of the competition. The first session last year included top players such as Venus Williams, Svetlana Kuznetsova, Caroline Wozniacki, and Jelena Jankovic. Multi-record-holding international top player Steffie Graf will be the global image ambassador this year and will appear on site.
