WTA players Liang Chen and Maria Sharapova vied against local tennis players on Oct 30 during the City Experts vs Tennis Stars activity on the court of Dajing Mt Community Park in New Xiangzhou.

Chen, a winner in the women’s doubles at the 2015 WTA Elite Trophy, and Sharapova, one of the world’s top tennis aces, showed up at the community park at 2 pm, to a rousing cascade of cheers from the fans. 

Afterwards, family and youth groups from the fan audience played a friendly match against the Chinese and Russian WTA stars.

After the match, Chen and Sharapova posed for photos with the fans, and presented them with special souvenirs.
