Zhuhai Aviation Industrial Park will host a series of business activities at Airshow China 2016 to promote its investment environment and industrial prospects. The Jinwan District park occupies a 260 sqm display area in the Exhibition Hall at which it will highlight its role in the city’s western area. 

The industrial park officially opened to the public on Nov 4, 2008, during the 7th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition. Government officials of all levels and experts in the aviation and aerospace industry from China and abroad attended the inauguration ceremony.

According to a blueprint approved by the Guangdong Provincial Aviation Industrial Development Leading Group, the aviation park is to cover 99 sq km and encompass aviation core industry and processing, Aviation Town support processing, and living support areas.

China Aviation Industry General Aircraft (CAIGA) is the leading enterprise of the aviation park. Since its establishment in Zhuhai, the company has invested 2.41 billion yuan ($355 million) to build the CAIGA Aircraft Design Institute and a final assembly production base, and has developed a series of new products including CIRRUS SR2X, Linksys AG300, and Cessna corporate aircraft.

Zhuhai Aviation Industrial Park expands.  

On July 23, the world’s largest amphibious aircraft, the AG600, was completed at CAIGA’s assembly workshop in the industrial park, which marked a new era for China’s amphibious aircraft industry.

Statistics show that by 2016 the industrial park had contracted 51 major projects with a total investment of 6.2 billion yuan ($918 million). The park will invest over 7 billion yuan ($1 billion) in three to five years in 23 infrastructure projects involving reclamation and the municipal seaside business, support and processing, and airport core operation sites, with an additional 10.7 sq km in land area.
