Dingjiawan Tea Refreshments
Glutinous Rice Balls stuffed with coconut, Deep-Fried Shredded Radish Cakes, and many more delicacies, Dingjiawan Tea Refreshments are said to have been introduced in Sanzao Town in the late Song Dynasty (960-1279).
A folk snack in Dingjiawan Village of Sanzao Town, the Tea Refreshments are served to guests at Chinese New Year, other festivities, or everyday tea time. They include Fried Sugar Rings, Brown Sugar Cakes, Vegetable Dumplings, Fried Dumplings, Salty Dumplings, Bean Paste Cakes, and Pumpkin Pie -- all favorites of Guangdong locals.
