Flower Over-Sleeves
To protect themselves from being injured by sharp leaves while harvesting sugarcanes, female farmers wove over-sleeves out of reeds and embroidered them with floral designs. The glossily weaved handicraft dubbed Hua Xiu, meaning Flower Over-Sleeve, looks more like an artifact.
The handicraft also include straw hat and straw sandals handmade by Sanzao people to protect themselves in farm work.
