Tangjia Maks Cake
Taking root in Tangjiawan Town a century ago, the Maks Cake fuses folk tradition with modern civilization. While sticking to traditional ways of making cakes from the Tang Dynasty (618-907), inheritor Xu Yeyang also expanded the types of food in an effort to revive the traditional Guangdong-style cakes.
The most typical eight species include Vegetarian Five-Nut Mooncake, Sweetened Bean Paste Mooncake, Sweetened Bean Paste Shortbread, Crisp Angle, and Peanut-Sesame Cake.
