Tangjiawan second site for Harrow School in Zhuhai
A Tangjiawan campus of the prestigious British Harrow School will open in September 2020, it was announced at a signing ceremony at Zhuhai Holiday Resort Hotel on May 9. It will join a Hengqin campus slated to start classes at the same time.
Zhuhai Jiuzhou Holdings Group, Singapore-based Yanlord Land, Zhuhai Golf Club, Harrow International (China) Management Services, and Innovation Leadership Academy Holdings signed a cooperation agreement on building the ILA Tangjiawan.

The Tangjiawan site is located between the former Pearl Land Amusement Park and Zhuhai Lakewood Golf Club. Planned there are the Innovation Leadership Academy and Teacher Training Center operated by Harrow International (China) Group and accredited by Harrow School.
Construction will begin in the first half of 2019 and the Kindergarten and Primary School will then open in September 2020. The Teacher Training Center will be for domestic and overseas instructors from Harrow schools and the Innovation Leadership Academy. The project department is to become operational next month.
According to Edward Gould, chairman of the Harrow International Schools board, Zhuhai is the most beautiful city he has visited in China. He said the site in Tangjiawan shares geographic similarities with Harrow School London. Well-experienced partners in the area also recommended Tangjiawan.

Harrow International (China) Management Services intends to combine "excellent spirit, tradition, and education" with traditional Chinese culture and spread them to students across Zhuhai and China. It plans to forge new leaders in all industries of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, China and the world, announced a spokesperson.
The boards of directors of eSun and Lai Fung announced last November that an Innovation Leadership Academy would be established in Phase II of Novotown, Hengqin New Area. The arrangement was made between the wholly owned subsidiary of Lai Fung, Harrow International (China) Management Services and ILA Holdings.
Both schools will hold classes from kindergarten to Grade 12 (Year 13), with both Chinese national and international curricula for local and overseas students. The gross floor area of ILA Hengqin will cover 52,500 sq m (13 acres) with capacity for 1,500 students.
Harrow is an independent boarding school for boys in Harrow on the Hill in northwest London. It was founded in 1572 by John Lyon under a Royal Charter from Elizabeth I and is one of seven formed under the Public Schools Act of 1868.
