Huawei to help Zhuhai to better lives with technology
Tech giant Huawei Technologies and the Zhuhai government signed a strategic agreement on July 17 to construct a new type of national demonstration "Smart City" -- one that enhances the quality of urban living using technology.
The city expects technical assistance in developing software, artificial intelligence, the Internet of things (IoT), intelligent manufacturing, and more. Huawei, headquartered in Shenzhen, is the largest telecommunications equipment manufacturer in the world.
Such cooperation is to generate new levels of intelligence in urban planning, construction, management, and service. Cloud platforms will be built to provide data solutions for local companies as would be talent training platforms, asserted a spokesperson.
Zhuhai Party Chief Guo Yonghang and Zhuhai Mayor Yao Yisheng attended the signing ceremony.
