Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport logged 7,412 flights carrying 1.03 million passengers to or from the city in July, up 21.8 and 29.2 percent year-on-year respectively. The figures set a single-month record in passenger volume and flight numbers for the airport.

Cargo and mail throughput increased by 38.7 percent to 3,760 tons, according to the latest statistics from the airport.  

With summer vacation in full swing, the airport escorted more than 800 unaccompanied minors in July and ensured they were picked up by a guardian at their destination airports.

Although air fares generally rise in August, passengers from Zhuhai to Hunan's Hengyang and Shaanxi's Xi'an still have a chance to get up to 75 percent off regular ticket prices. Those heading for Taiyuan of Shanxi, Taizhou of Jiangsu, Dazhou of Sichuan, Nanchang of Jiangxi, Handan of Hebei, Jinjiang of Fujian, and Shiyan of Hubei can expect a 45 percent to 60 percent discount.
