Citywide Universal Processing of administrative services for resident and foreigner household registration, the Public Housing and Social Security funds, and tax payments (among 651 items) took effect Aug 6.

The city government has called upon 16 departments to lift administrative restrictions to improve user experience.

For many affairs related to livelihoods, procedures can be completed at municipal and district administrative service centers or at local service windows set up by a government department. The operations are based on shared service information, according to an official.

The list will continually be upgraded to increase public convenience regarding urban planning, land resources, real estate, education, and public health. The second batch will be announced in October and put into effect on Nov 1.
