Electronics giant to display defense and safety technology
China Electronics Corp (CEC), one of the largest producers of telecom equipment in China, will show 130 of its best products in defense electronics, information security, and public safety during Zhuhai's Airshow China 2018, to be held from Nov 6 to 11.
In the thousand-sq-m (quarter-acre) exhibition area will be real products (90 percent), models, videos, and interactive opportunities. CEC's self-developed liquid-crystal display screens, said to be of top quality in the world, will be used in presentations, said Lyu Baoli, deputy director of CEC's System Equipment Department.
In addition to products for military communications and radar detection, CEC will present key components for electronic countermeasures as well as systems for S-band mobile satellite communication, vehicle-mounted mobile low-frequency transmissions, and shipborne electronic reconnaissance. All have reached advanced domestic levels. Three-coordinate aircraft-warning radar, mobile radar detection and interference systems, and other star products favored by Third World countries will also be displayed.

The company's strength in information security will be reflected by more than 30 independent R&D products that include basic software, high-end chips, security machines, and eco–system service. A highlight will be Phytium series CPU chips. Considered world-class, they are high-performance and compatible with ARM instruction sets, according to Lyu. A combined demonstration of the CPU chip and Kylin operating system will be displayed at the airshow for the first time.
Meanwhile, a major part of the exhibition will focus on public security. The national security integrated command and control system, key to the construction of many Latin American countries, and a border security system independently developed by CEC, will also be on show.
Zhuhai's Southern Software Park, an innovative sci-tech service outsourcing site owned by the company, will also take part. Located in the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan), it is home to many high- and new-tech enterprises.
Airshow China, also known as the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition, is the largest of its kind in the country. In its 12th year, the show will be staged at the Zhuhai Airshow Center in Jinwan District and to date has confirmations of attendance from at least 770 exhibitors from 43 countries and regions.
