Zhuhai visitors number 2.5 million who spend $400,000
Popular scenic spots, cultural sites, and various carnival attractions brought more than 2.5 million visitors to Zhuhai during the Oct 1-7 National Day holiday. That's an increase of 20.4 percent over last year.

Chimelong International Ocean Tourist Resort in Hengqin New Area remains the most visited amusement park in Zhuhai. Yeli Island, New Yuanming Palace, and Xianglu Bay were other preferred options during the Golden Week, according to mobile big data.

Somewhat cooler evenings boosted the Zhuhai International Beach (Shark) Music Festival 2018. Citywide celebrations also included the 2018 Doumen Lianjiang Countryside Music and Huitong Arts festivals, as well as traditional cultural performances in Jinwan District.
Island travels, rural tours, and hot-spring resorts were welcome innovations. Changnanjing Old Path, recently opened to the public, offered good spots for appreciating historical points of interest and the inviting scenery of Fenghuang Mt.
Hunan, Sichuan, Hubei provinces, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and Beijing generated the most visitors. Most outbound travelers departed from Macao and Hong Kong, according to statistics.
