Classical music lovers will be treated to Jörg Demus' Solo Piano Concert at 8 pm on Oct 19 at the Zhuhai Huafa & CPAA Grand Theatre. Still active on the global stage although in his 90s, the renowned Austrian pianist was born in 1928 and started a musical journey at age 6 before entering the Vienna Academy of Music five years later.

Demus is highly regarded as one of the finest accompanists. He is noted for combining a romantic sound with an interest in historic keyboard interpretation and early model pianos. He has also maintained a notable solo career with interpretations of Bach and flexible, colorful renditions of Debussy being widely acclaimed.
