Wetland conservation-viewing park to open in Sanzao
Auxiliary facilities are being installed at Sanzao Damenkou Wetland Park in preparation for a full launch on New Year's Day.
Located near Binhe Road in Dingjiawan Industrial Area Phase II of Sanzao Town, Jinwan District, the park is close to the Damenkou Waterway, offering abundant water systems, lush plant life, and diverse ecological scenery.
The well-designed park contains conservation, recreational and service areas, a mangrove forest, and fish pond. Space has been set aside for educating the public on the science of freshwater wetlands.

In addition, the 42-hectare (104-acre) park will feature a 4.6-km (2.86-mile) footpath and 1.5-km (.9-mile) plank road with viewing points and rest facilities. There are also species of flowers such as oleanders, Cordyline fruticosa, and Phoenix sylvestris.
Construction of the second phase will follow closely to extend the total park area to 95 hectares (235 acres). The entire project will cost 9.7 million yuan ($1.5 million).
Maotian Mt Forest and Guanyin (Kwan-yin, Avalokitesvara) Mt Country parks, also parts of Sanzao's park system, are in the construction works.
