Airshow Center comes down to earth with Grand Prix
Muddy water will be splashed, dust blown, and heavy wheels bounced over dirt and rocks at the year-end Guangdong Cross-country Car Club (GDCC) Grand Prix at Zhuhai Airshow Center from Nov 30 to Dec 2.
This year's edition features the Pro, Large-Displacement Open, Small-Displacement Open, UTVs (utility vehicles), plus newly added Women's Pro and Open categories.
As the most lucrative event on the GDCC calendar, it has a record-breaking prize pool of 400,000 yuan ($57,550). Champions of the Men's and Women's Pro events in Jinwan District will be awarded 60,000 yuan ($8,630) and 25,000 yuan ($3,600) respectively.

Meanwhile, more than 300 car owner clubs will convene at the 1.3-sq-km (.5 sq-mile) Airshow Center for 04 Drag Racing, Formula Student China, and a SGG Feast of the Creator-Car Owner Carnival.
The Elite Party, China's largest "hellaflush" car exhibition, will bring 300 such vehicles to the venue, as hundreds gather to challenge Guinness World Records for the longest Mercedes-Benz fleet parade.
Visitors can scan the QR code at the Airshow Center for free tickets.
The event will be handled by Zhuhai Exhibition Group, Guangzhou UNI Information Technology Co, and GDCC League Council under the guidance of the Jinwan Culture, Sports & Tourism Bureau.
