Speed limits on nine key roads and bridges were raised in Zhuhai on Dec 22 to improve the flow of traffic through 33 snapshot monitoring points.

The limit on major thoroughfare Zhuhai Avenue (from west of Nanping Street to the Zhuhai Bridge) remains at 100 kmph (62 mph). But the auxiliary road has had the limit raised from 50 kmph (31 mph) to 60 kmph (37 mph).

The Zhuhai Bridge itself, a frequent bottleneck, has had the speed raised from 70 kmph (43.5 mph) to 80 kmph (50 mph) with the cameras paying extra attention to large vehicles in the wrong lanes and to slow-moving violations.
