Airport check-ins now being made on cross-sea bridge
Tourists and others traveling from Hong Kong or Macao to Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport can now check in or buy tickets on the first floor of the Zhuhai Port Building of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB). Then they can relax in a lounge to await the next express ride.
Likewise, passengers bound for Chek Lap Kok Airport can check in at the Airport Terminal on the Hong Kong side and take the Airport Shuttle to T2.
The HZMB services are now the most convenient means for travelers from the Chinese mainland to make the leg to or from Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport toward or back from Hong Kong and Chek Lap Kok International Airport.
The airports are cooperating with airlines and mainland travel agencies to roll out "Travel to Hong Kong & Macao via Zhuhai" promotions, according to Vivian Cheung, deputy general manager at Zhuhai-Hong Kong Airport Management Co.
HZMB Zhuhai Airport Check-in
The Zhuhai facility allows passengers to go through procedures and take express buses to Zhuhai Airport (ZHU) upon returning from Hong Kong or Macao. On hand are seven-seat multi-purpose vehicles and 49-seat coaches.
Zhuhai Airport-bound express buses run from 10 am to 6 pm, while HZMB-bound shuttles make trips from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm. There are 18 round-trips daily with tickets costing 35 yuan ($5).
