Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport logged 249,000 inbound and outbound passengers on 1,712 flights between Feb 4 and 10, up 8.2 percent and 7.3 percent. Feb 10 alone saw more than 40,000 passengers, a single-day record for the airport.

Data collected as of Feb 10 showed that during the Spring Festival travel rush, which began on Jan 21, there were 5,153 flights carrying more than 708,000 passengers. On the 10th alone, there were 263 flights.

More than 90 percent of the planes were on schedule, another all-time high. Security efforts were enhanced and inspection channels kept opened. More check-in counters were in service and worked overtime in harmony with self check-in kiosks, according to a manager.
