The west part of Yuehua Road (粤华路) pedestrian overpass is to be extended like an arm-stretch-band across South Yingbin (迎宾南路) Road and the east section of Yuehua. Depending on public opinion, that is.

Literally shaped like the inexpensive body-building equipment, the proposed infrastructure would make the going smoother for both crowds of pedestrians in the downtown shopping center and heavy traffic in the Gongbei Port area.

In the immediate vicinity are the Milan (米兰百货) and Yingbin (迎宾百货) department stores, Zhongzhu Building, Gongbei Market, and many other shops and restaurants. The new four-landing structure would incorporate the current one with modifications. As opposed to circular overpasses (British: flyovers) the new design has lanes that converge in the center to ensure unobstructed foot traffic in all directions.

Each entrance-exit will have stairs, escalators, and an elevator for those who need it.

The design by the Zhuhai Architectural Design Institute complements the urban surroundings. Based on research into pedestrian traffic, it is also considered to be cost-efficient by the Investment Project Construction, Supervision & Administration Center of the city government.
