Qi'ao Mangrove Wetland Ecological Park at Dawei Bay in northwest Qi'ao Island of Tangjiawan will reopen now that work is nearly completed on levees to protect against flooding and ensure water conservation.

Individuals can reserve a visit during the May Day holiday from the 1st to 4th of the month. The daily reservation number is capped at 1,000 as toilet facilities in the natural reserve are limited.

Steps:

2. Type in your name, phone number, and ID number, and choose the number of visitors (no more than five for a single ID), time of visit, and other information.

3. The park is open from 9 am to 5 pm and those who are late will not be admitted. The park is closed for ecological restoration Mondays and Tuesdays (except holidays).

4. Scan QR code presented at the entrance gate and type in the phone number used for your reservation. The "check-in" interface should be shown to staff members along with visitors' ID cards before entering the park.

Scientific researchers should call 0756-2239114 after sending application materials to zhbhqxjk@163.com at least three working days in advance.

Required documents include:

1. Scans of Application Form for Entering Natural Reserve and a letter of commitment. The documents should be printed on both sides of the paper, filled in completely, and signed in writing.

3. Letter of introduction or official document from the research institute.

4. Concrete event plan or experimental scheme (research content, instruments … )

5. Event achievements (specimens, photos, experience, experiment results … )

The first two documents are a must, and the others may be required depending on actual circumstances.

Group visitors should call 0756-2239114 after sending application materials to zhbhqxjk@163.com at least three working days in advance.

2. Name list of all members as well as their ID numbers.

Natural reserve staff will sign off on the application in the blank under Administrative Office after examining the documents and then send them to the applicant's mailbox. Scientific researchers and group visitors should print the application forms and show them to staff at the entrance.

Note: The natural reserve does not receive group visitors during major holidays.
