Flooding widespread, roads blocked, flights canceled
The Zhuhai Observatory raised the rainstorm warning to red at 5 am today considering very heavy rainfall and flooding as a thunderstorm alert remains in effect.
Serious road flooding and closures were reported in New Xiangzhou, Jinding, downtown areas, and Jinwan and Doumen districts.
The Xiaolin Road section of Zhuhai Avenue in Hongqi Town of Jinwan has been temporarily closed. Downtown-bound motorists are advised to detour before approaching the site.

Meanwhile, the Fenghuang Mt Tunnel between Qianshan and Jinding was blocked due to congestion of vehicles.
Twenty-eighteen flight departures at Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport were canceled. They are:

Eighteen flight arrivals were also reportedly suspended this morning. Despite this, operations at the terminal, airfield, public areas, and 272 Airport Road remain normal.
Furthermore, round-trip ferries from Xiangzhou Port off Central Lovers Avenue to Wanshan, Wailingding, Dan'gan, and Dong'ao islands have been halted while other round-trip ferry services from Hengqin Wharf to Dong'ao Nansha Bay are suspended.
