Shanfang Rest Station opened to the public on June 19 as the first part of a transformation-upgrade to preserve and develop century-old Tangjia Town in the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone.

The two-story retro architecture is sited at the former Tangjia Commune Canteen on 27 Shanfang Road. The major structure, with a floorage of 243 sq m (291 sq yd), has a strip foundation, steel pitched roof, aerated-brick walls, and gray bricks consistent with the ancient town in architectural style.
