A garden showcasing coastal Zhuhai's peaceful allure through concise design language earned the Excellent Award in the Outdoor (comprehensive) category and the Distinction Honor for Design at the 12th China (Nanning) International Garden Expo.

The highest-level and largest international event in China's landscaping industry recently came to an end after more than 200 days. Nonetheless, all 228 designed gardens from 44 Chinese cities as well as 19 cities from Southeast Asia and countries along the Belt & Road are on permanent display and open to the public.  

The 1,796-sq-m (.44-acre) Zhuhai Garden stands in the Modern Garden exhibition area due to its featured white coast and modern design concepts. Its use of white terrazzo (polished chips of marble or granite set in concrete) to create the bottom of a pool, waterfront, road, and grounds creates a fresh and elegant atmosphere. A glass plank road gives a feeling of proximity to water.

Two ripple-shaped landscape viewing pavilions strengthen the effects while the tranquil setting of Zhuhai's iconic Fisher Maiden in the middle of the pool, symbolizing bright light, adds to the charm.

The award is as great as that of National Ecological Garden City in the past 10 sessions, according to the Zhuhai Urban Management & Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau.

The exhibition was co-sponsored by the Ministry of Housing & Urban-Rural Construction and the government of Nanning.
