Sightseeing bus routes began trial runs in Hengqin New Area on July 30, allowing visitors with one ticket to board and disembark at any time of the day to reach leisure sites, scenic spots, hotels, and other popular venues.

Tickets can be purchased at WeChat applet "Hi横琴旅游观光巴士," at sales outlets in Kee Kuan or on board. The price is 15 yuan ($2.20) during summer vacation.

Children up to 1.2 m (3.9 ft) tall board for free, as may seniors 65 and older upon presentation of valid ID.

In the future, the buses will be painted with thematic Hengqin characters, while the interior decor will be integrated with the Hengqin Smart Tourism Platform and online All-for-One Tourism map, according to Zhang Ximin of the local Social Affairs Bureau.

The operator may also roll out sightseeing double-deckers and partner with other enterprises to explore one-ticket tours of Zhuhai, Hong Kong, and Macao.
