No-pay water starts to flow at Haibin Park, Yeli Island
Drinking-water faucets have been installed on a lawn at the south side of Haibin Park and near Zhuhai Opera House on Yeli Island as part of Zhuhai's refined urban management program.
Haibin Park is adjacent to Xianglu Bay Beach and the Fisher Maiden statue. There are six free-to-use taps at the station capable of satisfying up to 300 people per hour.
Signs point to the facilities and all that's needed is to touch the induction switch to draw filtered water. Multiple indexes of the water's quality are said to be well above national potability standards due to ultraviolet sterilization and reverse osmosis membrane technology used in the filtration process.

The Zhuhai Opera House fountain is near the sightseeing bus waiting area. It is convenient for those who take long strolls along the coastal boardwalks or in the park.
More fountains will be set up at 10 large public places this year, including Zhuhai Sports Center, Tangjiawan (Jishan) Beach, and Meihua Urban Garden, according to an executive of Zhuhai Water Environment Holdings.
