Tickets for WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai daylong matches this fall will cost as little as 20 yuan ($2.80) in celebration of the event's 5th anniversary.

For the first time, there will be both unreserved and reserved seating, the Organizing Committee announced on Aug 8. Those with 20-yuan tickets can select seats in a designated grandstand zone on a first-come basis. Fifty yuan ($7) buys an unreserved VIP spot in the round robin stage and 100 yuan ($14) will reserve such a seat.

This year, contestants placing 9th to 19th on the final WTA rankings table and one wildcard holder will compete at Hengqin International Tennis Center from Oct 22 to 27. Players currently in this category include former World Number 1 Angelique Kerber of Germany and 23-time Grand Slam winner Serena Williams of the USA.

Tennis legend Stefanie Graf of Germany will serve as global ambassador for the fourth consecutive year. In addition to giving free tennis lessons, she will be present during the women's single's final and attend drawing and award ceremonies.

The event is organized by Huafa Group under the umbrella of the Chinese Tennis Association and Zhuhai Municipal People's Government.
