The sea, beach, bikinis, beer, barbecue, music, parties, camping, and fireworks … everything one might expect at a music festival -- will be there at the Island Music Festival on Jinwan District's Hope Island (荷包岛) from Aug 24 to 25.

Scheduled are beach electronic music performances, a bikini live stream contest, bubble pool swimsuit show, fireworks display by the sea, and Tik Tok challenge to win the prize of an island tour for two. Also on offer are water sports including amphibious motorboats and transparent kayak experiences.

Additionally, one can float on inflatable mattresses, take the rainbow slide, and seesaw on the water rocker.

Moreover, visitors can camp on the beach to enjoy the nighttime views of the island and sunrise the next day. 

Hope Island is situated in the southwestern part of Zhuhai and covers 13.5 sq km (3,336 acres). With a coastline of 28 km (17.5 miles), the island has 12 sea gulfs, eight sandy beaches, and two pebble beaches. The Da'nan Bay Beach is 4,000 m (4,374 yd) and is the largest and longest on any of the 146 islands of Zhuhai.

Transport:

Zhuhai Avenue to Hope Island Wharf (荷包岛码头) in Nanshui Town (南水镇) of Gaolan Port (高栏港); high-speed ferry to the island over 30 minutes.

Departure: 9 am, 11 am, 2 pm

Return: 10 am, 12 pm, 15 pm, 17 pm

Bus 605 in downtown Zhuhai to the Nanshui Town bus stop at Gaolan Port; transfer to Bus 716 to Hope Island Wharf.
