Hengqin International Tennis Center (横琴国际网球中心) announced this week that it will remain open not only to Zhuhai residents, but also to people from Hong Kong, Macao and foreign countries and regions with free admission until May 10 next year.

Outdoor Courts 1 through 12 are available from 5-9 pm Thursdays, and all day Saturdays and Sundays. The courts are located on Hengqin Avenue near the University of Macau. Appointments should be made one day in advance on the WeChat account: ZHUHAITENNIS.

In addition, the tennis center employs professional coaches to guide enthusiasts. The club, parking lot, shower rooms, and locker rooms at the center are also open.

Since 2015, the tennis center has WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai and the ATP World Tour 250 Zhuhai Championships. It has also provided a variety of recreational services to the public.

According to Huafa Sports, which operates the center, more than 80,000 people visited in 2018.

Nearby, the 22,500-sq m (5.6-acre) first phase of Hengqin Community Sports Park (横琴社区体育公园) opened to the public at the end of July.
