Gongbei Checkpoint is expected to process 425,000 border crossings daily during the Sept 13-15 Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations, while 30,000 will pass through Hengqin Checkpoint plus 50,000 crossing HZMB Zhuhai Port per day. 

Peak hours for departure from Gongbei Checkpoint usually starts around 8 am and back by 12:30 pm with an enormous influx between 4 and 8 pm, according to the Zhuhai General Station of Exit-Entry Frontier Inspection.

For Hengqin Checkpoint, exit crossings are made mostly between 9 am and noon, while most inbound traffic occurs between 4 and 7 pm. 

Outbound tourists at HZMB Zhuhai Port mainly leave between 8 and 11 am for Hong Kong and return between 9 am and noon and 6 -10 pm; whereas rush hours for visitors to and from Macao via the bridge run from 9 to 11 am and 4 to 8 pm.     

With forecast of passenger flow peak on Sep 14, travelers are advised to avoid the periods and choose a less-crowded checkpoint in order to reduce clearance time.
