The Novotown cultural creative project in Hengqin New Area will fully open Phase I on Dec 6 with diversified hi-tech leisure and entertainment experiences.

The project by Hong Kong's Lai Sun Group is to become a new landmark on Hengqin International Recreation Island. Lai Sun announced on Oct 28 that it is being constructed in five phases.

The first phase houses major projects such as Lionsgate Entertainment World, Hengqin National Geographic Ultimate Explorer, and soon, Hyatt Regency Hotel. The second phase is to include Real Madrid World, Ducati Motorcycle Experience Theme Center, and Innovation Leadership Academy (ILA) Hengqin.

Lionsgate Entertainment World opened to the public in late July and Hengqin National Geographic Ultimate Explorer followed in September.

Hengqin Hyatt Regency Hotel, jointly built by Novotown and Hyatt Hotels Corp, will open in December along with other concept retail and catering stores. It will integrate one-stop dining, shopping, and entertainment.
