Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area headquarters of China Pacific Construction Group (CPCG) will be built in Hengqin New Area under terms of a strategic cooperation agreement signed with the Zhuhai Municipal People's Government.

The Industry & Commerce Bureau of the Hengqin New Area Administrative Committee issued a business license to Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Construction Co at its unveiling ceremony on Nov 25 to build the 150-billion-yuan ($21-billion) facility.

Founded in 1995, Urumqi-based CPCG is the world's largest private construction enterprise that engages primarily in infrastructure investment and construction. It qualifies as general contractor for national expressways, municipal facilities, water conservancy, and architecture projects, and also holds a Class-A qualification for landscape design.

CPCG has ranked among the world's top 500 companies for six consecutive years, and stands at 97th this year with total revenues of $86.6 billion.

Guangdong is a Number 1 strategic market of the group, which has entered 19 cities and invested in livelihood projects in Guangzhou, Zhongshan, Zhaoqing, Shanwei, Zhanjiang, and elsewhere, said Yan Hao, chairman of the board of directors.
