A range of culinary delicacies from across the country is on the menu of the Doumen Food & Culture Festival accompanying a large New Year festive lantern display at Doumen Public Park from Jan 1 to 5.

Sixty local merchants will sell authentic Doumen food, specialties, and poverty alleviation products, while 20 retailers will vend out-of-town souvenirs, hand-made food, dining and medicinal materials, and dried seafood products.

Nationwide characterized culinary delicacies are to be showcased by 60 dealers at the Famous Chinese Food Zone. Moreover, foodies can whet their taste buds on the dishes served by renowned restaurants from 11 cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

This year, the festival will include a cooking skills competition, series of garbage-sorting activities, and outdoor Red-themed (revolutionary) film screenings.

Meanwhile, a tourism-culture corridor, food map, and food and tourism promotions are to raise Doumen's profile along with interactive activities and promotional videos.

The festival is hosted by the Doumen District People's Government and Zhuhai Media Group. It is expected to promote the allure of Doumen's culture, food, and tourism while bolstering Zhuhai as a leisure travel destination in the Greater Bay Area.
