Special purchases for Chinese Lunar New Year (Jan 25) can be made at flower fairs at the Zhuhai Sports Center in New Xiangzhou and Huangyang River Wetland Park in Doumen District from Jan 15 to 24.

Spring Fest Flower Fair

The Zhuhai Spring Festival Flower Fair will feature a flower-studded archway 24 m (26 yd) wide and 12 m (13 yd) tall. Its design, inspired by the city logo, highlights the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the pearl of the Fisher Maiden statue.

There will be dedicated zones for the usual flowers and potted Mandarin orange trees, high-end flowers, and Spring Festival couplets. The area of public welfare booths will be expanded for the display and sales of handicrafts.

Calligraphy masters will write Spring Festival couplets on site. Visitors can also have close-up contact with Lingnan intangible cultures at the fairs. In addition, paid flower delivery service will be on offer.

Motorists can proceed to Small East Gate, Small South Gate, West Gate parking lots or areas near the Bowling Alley or Stadium.

Take Buses 46 or 103 to West of Zhuhai Sports Center (体育中心西); 7, 9, 13, 23, 26, 33, 99, or 999 to South of Zhuhai Sports Center (体育中心南); K2, K11, or 18 to Jinhua Garden (金桦花园); or 103 to Zhuhai Administrative Service Center (行政服务中心).

Doumen Flower Fair

The 14th Doumen Spring Festival Flower Fair will have 200 booths in zones for high-end flowers, ordinary flowers, and potted Mandarin orange trees, in addition to 30 booths lined up as a food street.

Spring Festival commodities, artware, and couplets can also be bought at respective zones. A traditional Folk Art Show will be staged on Jan 18.

Motorists can access the Xidi Road parking lot via Zhuhai Yili Restaurant north of the Jianfeng Bridge, or another large lot via the north entrance to The One Residential Community via Hefang Road south of the bridge. There are 1,000 free parking spots for cars and 1,200 for motorcycles.

Take Buses 303, 304, 306, 405, 502, 503, 504, 510, 601, or 609 to Doumen Administrative Center (斗门行政中心); or 303, 307, 405, or 602 to Doumen Public Park (斗门市民公园).
