The fragrance of 850,000 flowers at Haibin, Yeli Island and Bailiandong (White Lotus Cave) parks, and the Zhuhai Avenue Greenbelt and channelization islands enhances celebrations welcoming the Year of The Mouse from Jan 24 to Feb 8.

Haibin Park, the primary venue of the 2020 Spring Festival Flower Show, chose "Spring" as the theme of its New Year's floral designs. It contains 270,000 flowers spanning more than 10,000 sq m (2.47 acres).

The species vary from tulips, snapdragons, sweet Williams (dianthus barbatus), and Chinese flowering crabapple (malus spectabilis) to morning glory, pansies, red sage, and New Guinea impatiens.

Highlighted is the "Fish Leaps Over to Congratulate on the New Year" scene on the lawn across from Xianglu Bay Beach. A red drum, 9 m (9.84 yd) high and 6 m (6.56 yd) in diameter, is surrounded by floating goldfish in addition to 80,000 snapdragons and 50,000 tulips in the shape of orange, yellow, pink, red, and dark red ribbons.

The flower show at Yeli Island Park is themed on "Eternity & Beauty," echoing the romance of the Zhuhai Opera House. Visitors are greeted with a zodiac mouse landscape design, lanterns, and pinwheels upon entering the island from Haiyan Bridge in Wanzaisha of Old Xiangzhou. 

Sulfur cosmos, garden balsam, and Chinese flowering crabapple align the roads, while 3,300 sq m (3,947 sq yd) of violets align the coastal boardwalk near the Tourist Service Center. Photos can be taken in front of sculpted zodiac mice.

Bailiandong Park on central Jiuzhou Avenue in Jida is planted with 100,000 flowers including Chinese flowering crabapple, pansies, rocket larkspur (consolida ajacis), and foxgloves (digitalis purpurea). A floating lotus lantern charms the lake at night.

In addition, major greenbelts and channelization islands of Zhuhai Avenue are adorned with spider flowers and petunias, according to an executive at Zhuhai Yuehua Landscaping Construction Management.
