The Zhuhai government has streamlined administrative procedures, financial aid, and strict epidemic prevention and control measures so that enterprises can resume operations in an orderly manner.

The examination and approval times of construction projects have been cut by one-third through online processes. Paper materials, if needed, can be mailed for free, stated Yu Sihao, director of the Zhuhai Development & Reform Bureau at a Feb 11 online press conference.

The city Industry & Information Technology Bureau and Zhuhai Central Sub-branch of the People's Bank of China are coordinating loans for epidemic-affected enterprises. The Industrial & Commercial Bank of China, China Guangfa Bank, and Bank of China have loaned 160 million yuan ($23 million) to 19 enterprises, and more than 80 million yuan ($11.5 million) has been released.

State-owned enterprises will reduce rents for tourism, accommodations, catering, and transport enterprises to help them recover from the outbreak, and private proprietors are encouraged to take the same steps, said Shen Yan, director of the Industry & Information Technology Bureau.

Meanwhile, epidemic prevention and control work across the city is well underway. In all, 21,545 community residents had been scrutinized as of Feb 10, and 149 with suspicious symptoms had been sent to hospital.

To date, 74 bus routes in the city have been suspended to reduce mass gatherings and the spread of novel coronavirus. The remaining public buses, ensuring locals' basic travel needs, are sterilized and ventilated daily, and each ride has assigned staff to take temperatures.

Inbound travelers, especially those from severely afflicted areas, are screened with intelligent data, registered at citywide traffic outposts, and tracked for further prevention and control, noted Li Xiaozhong, deputy executive secretary of the Politics & Law Committee of the CPC Zhuhai Municipal Committee.

Zhuhai citizens that live in Zhongshan's Tanzhou and Sanxiang towns should be aware that three out of the eight exits at the intercity boundary have been closed. Two are at the intersections of west Anlian and Jijin roads in Qianshan with Tanzhou's Cuiping Road, while the third is at Qianshan Gas Reservoir on 3rd Gangkou Road near the Traffic Police Education Base, said Lin Yuehai, director of the Zhuhai Transport Bureau.
