Random inspections of vehicles and personnel replaced fixed quarantine checkpoints at Zhuhai expressway entrances and exits as of midnight Feb 19 to ensure smooth traffic as work and production resume in the city.

The city's Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) Epidemic Prevention & Control Command Center says this does not, however, signify an easing of epidemic prevention and control. Quarantine checkpoints at the airport, citywide intercity MRT stations, ferry terminals, and coach depots remain active.

Furthermore, inbound travelers from heavily afflicted areas such as Hubei Province and Wenzhou City of Zhejiang Province still need to be quarantined for 14 days. And, residents should continue to wear protective masks when going out and are strongly advised to avoid large gatherings.
