The new season beginning May 3 calls for 281 daily flights in and out of Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport, in all 1,970 flights weekly amounting to 106 more than last summer.

After the adjustment, the airport's 31 carriers will connect the city with 80 destinations nationwide. These include 10 routes to Baotou and Ordos in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region; Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province; Daocheng, Sichuan; Linzhi, Tibet Autonomous Region; Hanzhong and Yulin, Shaanxi; Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; Huangshan, Anhui; and Ji'ning, Shandong, which will be either opened or restored.

At least two flights are scheduled daily to Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Chongqing cities; Taiyuan in Shanxi Province; Hohhot, Inner Mongolia; Shijiazhuang, Hebei, Harbin, Heilongjiang, Shenyang and Dalian, Liaoning; Changchun, Jilin; Hangzhou, Wenzhou, and Ningbo, Zhejiang; Ji'nan, Qingdao, and Yantai, Shandong; Nanjing, Xuzhou, Wuxi, and Yangzhou, Jiangsu; Nanchang, Jiangxi, Hefei, Anhui, Fuzhou, Quanzhou, and Xiamen, Fujian; Xi'an, Shaanxi; Lanzhou, Gansu; Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region; Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region; Chengdu, Sichuan; Guiyang, Guizhou; Zhengzhou, Henan; Haikou and Sanya, Hainan; Wuhan and Yichang, Hubei; and Changsha, Hunan.

Newly added or resumed fights may be marketed at a sizeable ticket discount during the new aviation season. Trips to Nanjing and Wuxi, for instance, will be as low as 330 yuan ($47) and 450 yuan ($64). The tickets are not yet on sale, as some flight information has not been put into the system.

Travelers are advised to check flight information in advance due to possible changes after the adjustment and reserve enough time to cooperate with anti-epidemic measures at the airport.

Construction of Terminal II at the airport is expected to be completed in 2023 and increase the overall capacity to 27.5 million passengers by 2027.
